Enphase-Cerbo GX communication problem due to fake PV instance in list

I have found a problem in the communication between Cerbo GX and the Enphase PV system.

Initially the communication was configured in the Remote console and via a request to Enphase activated in the Envoy local host of the Enphase system. All worked fine for some month and then suddenly the PV system disappeared from the VRM page and in device Victron reported that it had not seen the PV system for some time.

In the Remote console the connection was established via the manual IP address as Victron was unable to locate the Envoy via the search.

Before the last reset by Enphase, I did re-install a new firmware 3.74 in the Cerbo GX initially hoping for a restore of the PV system in VRM, wich didn’t work.

So I contacted Enphase again and they were able to revive the connection again. It worked for some weeks and then the same happened (Disappeared PV system from VRM and error in devices list)

I again contacted Enphase a few days ago. They spent quite some time on it from thier side in the Enphase system. They could see that the modbus connection from Victron to Envoy was made, but the communictaion did not start.

In the mean time I noticed that Victr has changed things in the PV device area.

I now suddenly see two devices. One with serial — at the top row and on the second row the serial of the real Enphase system.

This i have not seen before. Must have been introduced in the 3.74 firmware.

So I now get the feeling that the first PV device with serial — is now interfering and blocking the true modbus connecton to the PV installation.

But there is no way unfortunately to delete the first or both entries en re-initialize the connection.

So my request is:

How to remove/clean up the PV devices to allow the true PV installion appear in the VRM. This connection is a necessity for proper DESS planning.

As a result I cannot use DESS now for quite some weeks which makes the Victron system useless for this aspect.

Any suggestions and help is appreciated

Added the screenprint of the two instances in remote console

I toggled the display switch for both instance independently without any effect in the visibility in VRM

There have been other posts and enphase had been engaged by individual users, somthing about a firmware update from enphase that has been messing with the modbus.

Thanks for your reaction.

You are right about the other topic. I have read it now from bottom to top. All kind of Enphase modbus relatedthings. But no one report a double entry in the Remote console of Victron.

So my question remains how to get rid of both entries from Victron to rescan or manually enter the Enphase IP address in the expectation that it will work now

Yeah.

Yeah i was addressing this issue.

The duplicate device i have no idea.

For the most part then a GX reset would probably be the way. It means setting uo your settings there again

Does not sound logic to me.

Resetting the Victron system (Cerbo GX or MP2’s as well?) and configuring again is a lot of work.

And for how long would this last if the cause for the double is unknown?

The firmware update of today to 3.75 did not have any effect.

How can I remove the two entries from the Cerbo GX?
