Hi everyone
My system installed in a RV:
2x LifePo4 smart battery 12V 100A in parallel
Miltiplus compat 12/1600/70
BMS v2
BMV712
MPPT 100/30
MPPT 100/20
ORION XS
CERBO GX
The problem:
I’m trying to keep the various charging devices synchronized in the various phases (bulk/absorption/float).
Last weekend, I had the batteries fully charged with the two MPPTs in FLOAT mode. When I started the vehicle to drive home, the ORION started in BULK mode and brought the batteries back to 14.2 volts before switching to Absorption.
I’m wondering if this is normal and, if so, how to avoid it. It seems like unnecessary stress to the battery bank.
DVCC is active in the Cerbo GX. I expected this to synchronize the various chargers. I verified that by setting a maximum charging current of 10 A in the DVCC, I verified that the ORION and MPPT limit their current to a maximum of 10 A, but I don’t understand why the charge states aren’t synchronized.
Thanks for your help.
