In the morning hours the feed-in price is higher than in the afternoon. Despite the prediction of a high PV yield and the lowest daily price, DESS will charge with the first PV yield in the morning while the battery is still at 60%.
Feeding back the early PV yield yields more.
With a lot of PV supply, charging in the afternoon hours is much better the price is low possibly negative.

I think Green Mode is giving the battery reaching 100% a higher precedence than looking at grid prices. Exception here is negative grid prices, as you see today. If that happens, battery charging is defered to the hours of negative feedin, if possible.
If it would schedule according to prices, there would always be a risk that the forecast was inaccurate and it can’t charge to 100% anymore.
Then, that would all be reports like “It feedin the whole morning and now not reaching 100%” today.

Maybe in the future a option by a prediction higher then xx % and depending on amout of charge to shift the charge on lowest tarief.
