V3.79 and V3.80 Dess uses battery instead of grid while price is low (in Trade mode)

Today I saw Dess discharging the battery when using the electric stove while the price was still low and selling later would be more profitable.

This seems like a bug because the planning of dess is to sell energy in the evening.

Currently using version v3.80~39

Venus has no effect on the DESS logic, which is driven by VRM.

Also bug report and beta testing? Issue reporting is done with beta use in beta threads.

Its only a bug if it is a release item to normal release users and is not behaving as designed.

Okay, I thought dess is vrm and has nothing to do with Venus os

Correct.

So at this time. This detail is technically irrelevant.

And in many cases to reduce complications its best to stay out of beta if you need the system to function right and also bug report. With all the dess related things i am seeing posted by yourself,it may be the best course of action.

I see the same behavior with v3.79

Today again at my own system

Same today for several hours in Trade mode. Battery cost is 5ct/kWh so energy from battery is more expensive than energy from grid.

Later this day it used even more battery during low price (for heating the boiler):

Could it be that your batteries are forecasted to be at 100% when those more expensive hours come? In that case self-consumption could be more profitable because you would not be able to sell that energy anyway as batteries would reach 100% SOC from solar anyway

According to the price graph it would be more profitable to use the grid instead of battery and sell the energy in the evening.

Today again with 3.79

The next quarter the battery is recharged from grid again.
