I’m in Germany, fully AC-coupled PV/ESS system, Tibber dynamic prices and the system must not sell from battery to grid. Selling PV to grid is allowed.
Tomorrow there are negative prices down to -0,35EUR/kWh but neither Greenmode nor Trademode is taking full advantage.
Greenmode would have charged to 100% today because - well, I guess it’s just it’s nature. But it could have blocked charge at some point so that consumption would be covered while keeping enough room for charging with negative price from grid tomorrow.
So I switched to Trademode which it at least blocked charge at around 78%.
But in the evening when it discharged the battery to cover consumption, it started to unnecessarily recharge from PV again (DESS reactive stategies SELF_CONSUME_ACCEPT_BELOW_TSOC and SELFCONSUME_NO_GRID)
Instead, it should have taken the chance to keep the SoC lower than originally planned so it could benefit more from tomorrows negative price window.
