I have a Multiplus II , Smartshunt and an Ekrano that I use for monitoring my system. I have noticed that when I use the inverter to power a toaster, the Ekrano display shows an AC load which makes sense to me. But the Ekrano display also shows a significant DC load. I just ran a simple test with the following comments:
- just prior to turning on the toaster, the Ekrano display shows an AC load of 111 watts which I assume is my Starlink etc. The DC loads “window” on the Ekrano shows a load of -5 watts which I don’t understand (negative value?) The battery display shows a discharge of -7.7 amps and -102 watts.
- upon turning on the toaster, the AC load jumps to 1135 watts, and the DC load increases to -443 watts. The battery display shows a discharge of -64 amps and -841 watts.
I don’t understand why the display shows an increase on the DC load - and why is it a negative value?
Hopefully the above makes sense.
