Below screenshot shows the display of my Ekrano GX when I do NOT have shorepower connected. The AC loads is actually the output of the inverter. At this time there is no Shore power connected and the ET112 Grid meter and the Skylla IP65 get powered off.
You can now see that the Inverter has moved to essential loads and the Grid/Shore power connection appear as expected, and then the Skylla shows as AC Load.
The problem is that the AC Loads and Essentials Loads boxes change roles, and for the less technical users of my system this causes confusion. The system should be consistent
How can I make it that the Essential Loads box ALWAYS remains active, and the AC Loads box comes and goes as the Grid meter and SKylla are available or not?
As some examples, you can see that the Alternator Box remains visible even though the engines are off and they have no load, and this is because the Orion XS is powered on and visible to Venus. But what would be ideal is if the AC Loads and Essential Loads boxes could be enabled like we do for the DC Loads. Below screenshot shows the Display DC Loads button and that brings the box on the overview screen. Can we have Display AC Loads and Display Essentials Loads buttons please?
Not so much of a bug as a feature. It is no secret, discussed in your other topics, that the console and VRM dash is designed around a vebus inverter/charger, so the display is compromised for smaller, often mobile, installations.
I know the intention is to make the new UI more friendly for other configurations, but what that means and when, we do not have that visibility.
Load position only applies to vebus inverter/chargers and RS systems, ones that can backfeed. I would leave that to output only.
Isn’t Skylla IP65 VECAN not VEBUS? It’s integration into the GX UI is limited, as are vedirect inverters, so the gui is going to behave in unexpected ways.
This is currently how it is designed, so not a bug, what you are wanting is more of a feature request. It isn’t anything we can escalate for here but it isn’t the first time I have seen posts requesting better support for these type of installations.
So hopefully one day the newer UI can accommodate that. If these requests pop up more often maybe someone will notice.
There are a lot of mobile type applications of varying sizes which the conventional architecture doesn’t always fit or apply to.
The new UI architecture is much more flexible so can accommodate customisations, it’s always down to the time to do it and the demand.
You had a suggestion in another topic to consider using nodered virtual devices, This might help you either customise the current console or to create a dedicated dashboard (in nodered) that is better suited to your needs.
