Confusing info about enabling two way communication

I’m confused about some documentation and settings concerning remote configuration and firmware update via VRM portal.

First the option “enable two way communication” has been removed as per firmware 3.5 of VenusOS. Yet both the Remote Firmware Update (VRM: Remote firmware update [Victron Energy]) and the Remote Configure (VRM: Remote VEConfigure [Victron Energy]) manuals state that two way communication must be enabled.

Also the GX gateway at the device list in VRM also states this is disabled. New setting “VRM portal” is set to “full”

Is documentation and VRM portal to be updated by removing mention of “two way communication” or am i missing something?

Thx in advance and kind regards

The manuals are updated ASAP.

It’s a known issue that it’s show as disabled at the VRM portal and will be fixed soon.

Hi @kazige,
You have it all correct. Manual updates still need to be published, I will see that they are done.

Great! On to updating and configuring then

Maybe require your coders to have needed manual updates contained in the pull requests, before they can be checked into release branch?
