I just completed an installation with four NG200 lithium batteries, Quattro inverter/charger, Lynx BMS and distributors, and CerboGX and display. When powering the Quattro by generator and it is charging the batteries, the generator is briefly unloaded every 15 seconds, during which charging stops and then restarts. This appears to be caused by the Quattro. Is there a setting to fix this?
Is this an ess system?
Not really, this is a system on a boat without solar power. This situation involves a generator providing 110v power to the inverter which is charging a 12v battery bank.
Try reducing the ac input current limit to see if this stabilises the generator. Other suggestions are to update the Quattro to v556 firmware because that has some improvements for generator stability and set “weak ac” and "“ups” off.
Thank you and will do. I will know results in about a week.
The ac input current limit can normally be set on the Cerbo as long as the option for the limit to be over ruled by remote is set to enabled. That makes it easy to change.
Thank you, again.
Problem was solved by turning on “weak AC”. Thank you.
