Hi everyone,
I’m currently troubleshooting a strange issue with my Cerbo and a Smart IP43 120–240V charger (3 outputs). Both devices are connected via VE.Direct.
When the batteries are charging, the Lynx Shunt reports much higher wattage on “Battery” than what is shown under “DC Loads” (see attached example photo). This happens even though there are no actual DC loads active during charging.
If I disconnect the VE.Direct cable from the Cerbo, the wattage shown on the Lynx Shunt for Battery and DC Loads becomes identical, which is what I would normally expect.
What I’ve noticed is:
-
The wattage shown under DC Loads corresponds exactly to voltage × the current from output 1 of the Smart IP43 charger.
-
It appears the charger is only reporting the current from the first output, not the combined output of all three charging circuits.
Has anyone seen this behavior before, or knows whether the IP43 should be reporting the total output current over VE.Direct? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
