Cerbo GX with GEN24 not letting charge through

Hi all

I have an off Grid System with Cerbo GX, MultiPlusII 10kW, MPPT RS450/100, 50kWh ZYC Simpo 5000 and a Fronius GEN24.

the system is working fine except for the Fronius GEN24

I have established the WLAN connection is fine between the Cerbo and the GEN24 all settings of the GEN24 have been verified.

what seems to be happening is that the victron system is not giving the modbus signal the ok to charge and it is defaulting back to 0 export

I can see the GEN24 on the device list and get Vac and W reading and can see the serial number

the only thing I can think that I haven’t set a PV inverter in the MultiPlusII

My question Do I need to set the PV Inverter Assistant in the MultiPlusII to let the Victon system take control via the modbus connection, or is this just a back stop mechanism for controlling a PV inverter??

any help and or documentation greatly appreciated

I have loaded the PV Inverter Support Assistant and when it is uploaded the Inverter switches off

Please Help
