Charging problems

I have a victron cerbo, victron bmv, victron inverter, victron lynx, victron solar mpt, victron orion xs and 3 - 314ah sok batteries, they don’t seem to be charging and my ac input always says zero, I’ve went over every connection and all are secure. The devices all hooked to the inverter all work properly in the van - lighting, outlets, ac compressor, maxair fan - no issues there. My ac input current is always at zero no matter what I do? The main screen on the cerbo always says discharging and is negative even with the vehicle running and the alternator charging. Solar will show input coming in and generator will show input coming in, but the inverter wont let anything charge. Any ideas?

Your third picture shows no mains is available, so theres no possibility for the Multiplus to charge.

Since the batteries do seem to have Can communication, did you connect that to the Cerbo, did you set DVCC and charging parameters correctly, and can you see the batteries in the device list on the cerbo?

I have the canbus cables all coming from each of the solar, dcdc charger, and bmv device to the cerbo. I dont have anything plugged into the batteries that would connect to the cerbo to read from, they are SOK 314 and I have 3 of them. I can’t get the inverter to do any lights on the charging side and it seems like none of the power from the alternator or the solar ever go into the battery. grid always says disconnected, voltage is always saying “discharging”

What have you got on the DC system that is drawing approx 1300W.

Have you got your BMV wired correctly, only the BMV shunt battery side connected to the batteries and everything else connected to the system side of the BMV shunt. See

On the Cerbo GX have you set the Multiplus to “Inverter Only”. On the GX screen, tap on the inverter box, you should see a menu item “Mode” at the top, this should say “On”, if it says inverter only you will not get charging, so click on that and change the selection.

I will check the shunt part but no the Multiplus is not set to Inverter Only, I did see that setting. I did try to hook the SOK batteries directly and everything seemed to start charging with the victron bmv disconnected so maybe….. it’s that!

They are not all Can bus. Theres no Orion with Can bus and no BMV either. You most likely used VE.direct

Why not? The batteries have an integrated BMS that offers communication, use it. Also read up on what DVCC is and how to set it. Then you also dont need the BMV.

Make sure you have grid voltage available on the ACin of the Multiplus.

When I hook the sok cables to the in and out as sok says to do it shows me the bms on the cerbo but then it keeps disconnecting and connecting over and over. I know I have the com cables correct and it’s into the correct port on cerbo so no clue what is wrong there.
