Hi, I bought a Cerbo GX BPP900450110 from an online reseller which I intended to use with an Android Tablet. In my 24v van build. I have a corresponding MPPT, Smart shunt and other goodies.
After a lot of messing about with that tablet, I realised that the Cerbo is not working correctly and that the two flashing LEDs coupled with a constant beeping going off when I plug something in is not normal.
Following the support guidelines I’ve tried the usb Venus update and then the SD Card full install. But nothing seems to be happening. I left the SD image in it for over and hour and all that happens is the WiFi led flashes orange. Cycle the power with the card out and it goes back to both LEDs flashing.
Either I’m doing something wrong or this unit is a dud. What can you advise?
The two flashing LEDs are normal, and their function is printed right next to them on the face of the Cerbo.
Beeping would probably be a low-voltage alarm or something similar, but you’d need to check what your settings in the Cerbo are; have you set the Cerbo up properly? Without a GX Touch you’d be using Remote Console per the user and installation manual: 8. Accessing the GX device
Secondarily, after having read, understood, and followed the user and installation manual for the Cerbo to get its initial setup done properly, the next step would be to do the same with the tablet, as it’s not just as simple as connecting a tablet to a Cerbo; here’s the user manual for that process: Android GX WiFi Display
