Cerbo GX (MK2) and Pytes V5 >>Port and Cable?

I know the difference with the GX’s: at MK2 two fully functional CAN bus ports, called VE.Can 1 and VE.Can 2. Instead of one VE.Can and one BMS-Can port.
Now my question: I would like to connect a Pytes (and a Multiplus II for the Pytes) with the GX and there is a “Victron VE.Can Cable “named””. Which means, I didn’t need the BMS-Can Port and I could use the newer MK2 - is this right?

I read your question four times and I still can’t understand the question you’re trying to ask. However, maybe the following will help you…

  1. If you have the original Cerbo - Let’s call it the Cerbo Emeritus - connect your Pytes BMS to the BMS.Can port. Use a terminator on the Cerbo side and connect a VE.Can BMS Type A cable to the CAN port on the Pytes V5°.
  2. If you have the Cerbo MKII, then pick which VE.Can bus you want (i.e. VE.Can 2), configure the bus appropriately in Settings → Services.

In short, your Pytes battery will work with the older or newer Cerbo GX’s. I hope that answers your question.
