Victron Multiplus-II connected to Cerbo GX, connected, no problem and detected and shown on the Touch50 display.
However, the GX is not communicating with the EG4 Wallmount battery. I have the BMS type A cable connected between Cerbo GX BMS-Can port and the EG4 Can port. The battery is configured for Victron communication protocol.
Finally got this working! I ended up using one of the VE.CAN ports on the Cerbo GX instead of the BMS-CAN port. I had to reassign the VE.CAN port from the default to “Can-Bus BMS LV (500kbps)”. Then the battery connection worked! I think the default data rate on the Cerbo GX BMS-CAN port is 250kbps and the battery is 500kbps and they both needed to be the same.
My Cerbo GX is a MK2 running firmware version 3.52 and I don’t even see that "BMS-Can port " menu. Where is it located on your MK1? ie; what is the next level up?
Sorry, the above “BMS-CAN port” statement was throwing me off, believing you have Mk1.
On Mk2 they are marked VE.Can1 and VE.Can2, from what I know, isn’t it?..
Printscreens taken from Settings → Services → BMS.Can port
My mistake! The MK2 has two VE.Can 1 ports and two VE.Can 2 ports, and NO BMS-CAN ports. So my problem was that I had not changed them from the default LYNX Ion BMS (250kbps) setting to CAN-bus BMS (500kbps).
My CERBO GX MK2 / touch50 doesn’t have the BMS menu you show. My Settings > Services menu looks like this:
