Cerbo GX connection to smartsolar 75/15

I have just installed a cerbo GX in my boat, it reads the tanks ok and the smartshunt also eitjer through the usb port or ve-direct port. My smartsolar mppt 75/15 refuses to show up on the cerbo though. Tried all cables and port including those that are comfirmed ok with the shunt. I must be doing something wrong I guess but no odea what. Bluetooth in the mppt is turned off as some suggested in other topics this may be the problem.

Best regards,

Roelof

Is the MPPT powered on from either battery or PV?
How is it connected?
If it is USB, remember, one USB port is only for display power, it is not a conventional USB port.

Mppt is on and powered from both battery and solar panel. The usb port on the mark2 are all communicating (or so victron says) but the port is confirmed ok as it does let the shunt communicate. Tried all 3 usb ports and all 3 ve-direct, all no go but show the shunt ok

Did you also try a Ve cable between the MPPT and Cerbo?
This is more or less the standard way to connect both.

The GX has 3 USB ports.
The left one next to the HDMI port is power only, it cannot be used to connect devices to the GX.

Yes, tried as well, no luck

  1. Inspect the Ve Direct cable, if pins are not bended, or make bad contact, etc.
  2. Try to turn around the Ve Direct cable then, and see if this works.
  3. Reboot the Cerbo, and then reconnect the Ve Direct cable from the MPPT.

Replaced the mppt with a new one, works right away. No visoble damage to the pins, guess I was just unlucky and found a bad mppt.
