Cerbo doesn’t find fronius

Hello,

I have a fronius symo inverter with a datamanager card. This is via switch connected toa cerbo gx.

Both are in the same subnet, both have a static ip adres and both are found via advanced ip scanner.

On the victron there is an em24 meter connected via wired connection via the same switch on the same subnet.

The problem is that the gx doesn’t find the fronius. Not via auto search, not when i give in the ip adres me manually.

Please advise

It probably isn’t a network problem.

Could there be parameter/option in the cerbo that interferes with finding a inverter?

Not sure if this helps at all?

Hello,

I did both already. Didn’t help me …

Hi,

I have a Fronius Symo connected to my MPii GX. I haven’t assigned a static IP addresses but doing so should be fine. My GX device could always see my Fronius Symo but it was never displayed on the VRM portal. This was fixed once I added the ESS assistant.

Your Modbus settings are correct. I did upgrade the firmware of my Fronius to 1.34. Also upgrade your Cerbo if it hasn’t been done recently. There was no setting required in the GX device. Hope you get this working as I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck.

Thx for the input.

The cerbo and symo are both on newest firmware.

The ess assisant was installed while setting up the MP’s.

But it still doesn’t work.

Solved…

Apperently there are two ringterminators that need to be connected to the fronius…

They weren’t in the box and i didn’t know…

After less than a minute everything was ok
