Beginners question but is it possible to re configure a Multiplus Compact to correctly charge LiFePo batteries.
In addition does anyone have a link to the manual for these units as a search using ‘Compact’ only returns Inverters and not the correct units…? Any other search ref’s back to plain ‘MultiPlus’ units and not the compact variety !

You have freedom to manually change the absorption and float voltages and absorption time so you can set them up to charge lithium. The standard Multiplus has a lithium preset, I expect the compact to be the same.

Thanks for the reply PW. I missed to manual having speed read through it and seeing the ‘remote’ controll panel graphic I wrongly assumed it was for a later model…..must try harder…! Anyway I think I’ll need to invest in a Mk3-USB interface as the Compact doesn’t have a dip switch setting for LiFePo according to the manual you linked too. Though I note from another post on the subject that later models have the LiFePo shown as included in the DS1 -on and DS2 -off setting. Though a comment within that post tends to poo poo the configeration and suggests the use of the Mk3 interface……! Oh well!
Do you have the Multiplus connected to a GX device like a Cerbo because you can configure a Multiplus through VRM if you do.
