The firmware update process failed at 84%. Error code B10, timeout. I have tried multiple times to update the firmware. Also disconnected from all power for several minutes. The charger was working prior to the update. Now it connect to the app, requires mandatory update and flashes it’s lights…

What phone do you have? Can you try it with another phone? Can you create a service report after the failed update and add it here? 13. Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung S9+. I could try on another phone, however it’s the same model. Log file attached. FYI… I had to ZIP it, as .log wasn’t allowed to be attached. VictronConnect_report.zip (381.2 KB)

Thanks Thiemo. Attempting to pair to another phone has risk of losing the existed pair connection. Does the bootloader specifically support the BT re-pairing function? If not, I’d suggest to first wait for your diagnosis of the log.

Hi @Eclipze As long as it is in bootloader, you don’t need to pair. And all our product can store pairing information for multiple phones. So when you pair with a new phone, the old one is also still able to connect without repairing (as long as you do not change or reset the pincode using the new…

Hadn’t tried until now. Used an identical phone model, bought at the same time, yet it was able to do the firmware update. Quite surprised. Charger appears functional as expected. Thanks for your help!

Hi @TSGMark The problem you are experiencing is a little bit different as it stays in the bootloader while all data has been sent and it should at that point go to the new application. I have the same issue, I’ve tried multiple phones.

I have a blue smart charger 12v 5A

Photos, video & log attached.

Ps: I obtained a new 10A version of same charger and update worded fine on new charger… but not in 5A version.
