Blue smart charger 12/30 fit and forget?

Hi to All,

I have purchased a blue smart 12/30 charger to connect to a battery that is used to power a 12V motor which draws a lot of current. It’s probably about the same as a vehicle starter motor and similarly only works intermittently but may run for a full minute sometimes. I am hoping this is a fit-and-forget situation where the worst case scenario would be something like if the charger cannot supply enough current near the end of an ‘operation’ when the battery is a bit depleted, it will just result in slower movement and no damage to battery or charger. Or is that not the case?

To give a further bit of background it is actually a 24v machine and the two 12v batteries are charged/recharged with two separate 12v chargers but one decided to give up the ghost the other day so I have replaced it with this. I may, if/when finances allow, add a second blue smart to work in tandem, giving me 60 amps to the battery.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this,

TIA
