I have a setup with a freedom won battery with bms connected to a cerbo . I also have a lynx smart shunt connected.
I cannot view time to go on battery status , even when im not connected to shore power.
On vrm where you would normally see time to go value . It shows the battery temperature .
Any help would be appreciated.
It isn’t a metric these batteries send. It is an estimated value and sent mainly by BMV’s so it will not be seen unless the device supports it.
I don’t believe the CAN spec supports it regardless.

Ok thank you , sorry I missed the previous topics . I tried to search before posting. What I did find is that the lynx shunt was not showing it as it had never done a 100% sync . So I will need to adjust the battery settings so that it sees a a full charge to sync the percentage . Then the time to go will display, but only from Lynx shunt .
No. The metric does not exist on a bms. Only a bmv.
All devices that have a battery monitor “module” in their firmware can supply that battery time information.
bmv has it, multi rs has it, multiplus has it (if you enable it), possibly all shunts have it…
For victron it’s just a matter of wanting to collect that info from the current set battery monitor and send that info to vrm.
Unfortunately, they sends it only for bmv, from what you are saying…
Who has programming skills, can take a look at the vrmlogger module and add that info, iirc, to the TTG tag, in order to have it on vrm…
Its not only VRM it does not show, but in actual display it does not show.
Yes, a shunt is a battery monitor aka BMV.
The query is about managed batteries with a BMS.
If you have a Lynx Shunt and a managed battery then on your GX you can go into Settings > Devices > Lynx Shunt and see that info. If you want it on the display then you have to set the Lynx as the battery monitor rather than the BMS in Settings > System setup > Batteries > Battery Monitor, but leave the BMS as the battery manager in DVCC.
