Are VE.Direct devices from the MultiPlus GX passed through to the Cerbo GX?

Hi everyone,

I have a MultiPlus II 5000/48/70 GX, which already includes a built-in GX device. I have now additionally connected it via VE.Bus to a Cerbo GX, so that the Cerbo acts as the main system controller.

At the moment, several VE.Direct devices are connected via USB to the MultiPlus GX (e.g. a BMV battery monitor).

My questions:

  1. Will the VE.Direct devices connected to the MultiPlus GX also show up on the Cerbo GX, once the MultiPlus is connected via VE.Bus?
    – Right now, I don’t see them on the Cerbo, only the devices that are directly connected to the Cerbo itself.

  2. The MultiPlus II GX also has its own dedicated VE.Direct port.
Will at least this single port be visible on the Cerbo GX, so that devices connected there can be seen?

If not, does this mean that in practice all VE.Direct devices must be physically connected to the Cerbo GX in order to appear in VRM and in the device overview? Since the Cerbo is several meters away from the ve direct devices is there a one wire solution with a hub eg?

Thanks for your insights!

Yes. You should move all Ve direct and other devices from the MP-Gx device to the Cerb, and connect the MP2 by VE-bus to the cerbo. I would disconnect the internal gx device in this instance.
