The Multi will often invert and use battery power even when plugged in to my 30 amp RV plug (or ProPower).
I observed it pulling about 35 amps from the batteries and then it quit that and started charging at about 75 A. The total battery level went down about six amp hours and the it charged it back.
This is not such a big deal when you’re plugged into shore power BUT it also does it when I’m driving and plugged into ProPower.
This isn’t great when I’m trying to get the batteries charged after being low from overnight usage. The only way to prevent that is NOT to have any AC consumers on while driving which kinda defeats the possibilities available. Like having the AirCon going for the last hour of driving so the camper is cool when we stop. It even happens when just the Fridge is on.
Another test a few days later, I turned on the AC and even though I’m connected to my 30 amp connection it’s drawing 40 amps from the batteries
I know I could set it to charge only but the AirCon still needs a boost from the Multi to start (esp restart) BUT 13 amps AC from the ProPower is well over the 8 amps needed to run the unit so why continue inverting?
