I’ve got two resistive tank sensors plugged into a new Cerbo GX Mk2. I’ve enabled all 4 analog inputs in the IO settings but they never appear in the device list and they don’t appear on the ‘tank’ levels tab. I’ve tried rebooting GX device, and checked all connections; and I’ve tried old and new UI.
Running latest 3.54 OS
Anyone seen this issue or something like it?
I am fairly certian you need the adapter.
The Cerbo should accept resistive senders.
Have you made sure the sender wires are engaging fully into the terminal blocks, ideally using long bootlace ferrules. There have been cases where they have not connected. If you are using bare wire ends, hold the orange clip open with a small screwdriver as you insert the wire. Also, have you got the polarity the right way if the senders require a specific polarity.
Do you have a resistor of 100 to 300 Ohm you could add to check it is not a sender issue. In extremis you could also try putting a wire link between 2 terminals and it should activate and read a 0 Ohm level.
I’m kind of at a loss here. I tried swapping the leads at the sending unit, no change. I tried connecting the leads, no change. I tried with and without ferrules at the Cerbo. I verified connectivity with a multimeter from sending unit to the back end of the Cerbo plug. I also tried a different sending unit.
All results same. Devices never appear in device list, tanks tab on levels page is grayed out.
I’m certain the adapter is not needed for these senders as I’ve used the same ones on a different Cerbo GX and they work fine.
There was another case recently with a Cerbo where the analog inputs were dead on arrival (temp sensors also). I suggest you contact your dealer for an RMA.
