Hi All
- I have a 3 fase grid connection.
- I have currently 1 Multiplus 2 - 48/5000/70 in ESS mode running (on 1 phase obviously) with 16kWh battery
- I want to extend system as follows:
- Add a second Multiplus 2 (create a 2 phase system - which seems OK) and add a 2nd battery to same bus bar (same type as battery 1) and keep ESS setup.
Questions which I have
- Can the 2nd Multiplus (on phase 2) be a smaller type (eg 3000VA model) or does it have to be also 5000VA (and similar hardware/software revision)? The multiplusses will be connected to their own phases (and not parallel on phase 1). Capacity wise, a 5000VA + 3000VA would be enough….
- In winter time, when there is little solar, can I switch off one of the multiplusses (switch to 0) and system will keep running (to save some of the idle power consumption)?
Thanks
Hans
