Dear Community,
Since two years I run a three phase ESS System with three Multiplus 2 5000VA and a 19.2kWh battery.
During the month of May through August the system is not capable to feed all solar power in the grid (installed PV power is higher than the maximum discharge capabilities of the three Multiplus 2).
Looking back, I should have installed 3 times the 8000VA Version…
But now I decided to buy an additional 5000VA Multiplus 2, for two reasons:
- to feed in more solar power during summer
- to have one Multiplus 2 as a spare part (if one of the three Multiplus 2 fails I have one for immediate replacement).
It is important to know:
a) that the additional Multiplus 2 is only used for discharge (nothing connected to AC outputs)
b) I do not need the additional Multiplus during power outage of the grid. (since a 3-Phase ESS must allways have the same number of Multiplus per phase)
Please see the attached system overview. (Marked with a green dotted box “expansion”)
My questions:
- Has anyone done this before?
- Is it possible to connect the additional Multiplus 2 to the existing Cerbo GX? With the goal that this additional Multiplus 2 only discharges if the three other Multipuls are not able to feed in all Solar power. (The tricky point is to be within limits for the battery)
Best wishes
Roger
