Hello All,
Explanation of the installation : 1 Micro inverter 2kw + 1 Multiplus 2 GX + current clamp sensor on MP2 + pylontech battery in CAN bus on MP2
the multiplus is configured with ESS on 1 phase connected on the ACin (no AC out connected ) , on a 3 phases network
When the current sensor detect that the micro inverter is sending to grid the Multiplus charge the battery
when the house need power the multiplus send the battery in the house
compensate single phase objects on phase 1
compensate 1/3 of 3 phases motors
No compensate objects on phases 2 and 3
My question is If I want to do the same thing on the phase 2, I will do the same wiring for everything (like 2x single phase installation),
but is’it possible to share the battery pack ? (connect the battery to 1 multiplus and connect the 2 multiplus together)
if it’s possible how tho connect them by the CAN bus or VE bus ?
Thank
You can do that with victron ve bus system configurator software, set it as dual phase 120 you can do that with a multiplus 2 non gx, so the current multiplus gx controls everything
Thank you Marc
few more things to understand
the second MP2 will have also a micro inverter on his phase, I presume the MP2 will take this power and send to the battery pack like the 1st one
but how should I connect communication of the 2nd MP2 to the 1st MP2 to manage the power from 2nd MP2 to Battery with VE-Bus ?
also in VE configurator I don’t find the dual phases 120 on the backup of MP2 (I manage Ve config via VRM by import/export file to the MP2), Do I need the Usb to Ve bus adapter to configure this ?
also If I Buy an MP2 GX, is’it possible to disable GX to use it as a slave of the 1st MP2 ?
and last In case I do 2 separate systems 1 for L1 and 1 for L2 , no share of batteries, 1 battery per MP2, is’it working without perturbation between them ?
Thank for help

Yes it will, beter would be to use a 3 phase gridmeter
but how should I connect communication of the 2nd MP2 to the 1st MP2 to manage the power from 2nd MP2 to Battery with VE-Bus ?
Battery should be connected to can bus, second mp2 should be on ve bus
also in VE configurator I don’t find the dual phases 120 on the backup of MP2 (I manage Ve config via VRM by import/export file to the MP2), Do I need the Usb to Ve bus adapter to configure this ?
yes you need an usb mk3 for vebus setup
also If I Buy an MP2 GX, is’it possible to disable GX to use it as a slave of the 1st MP2
Yes but you would need to open it to disconnect gx device
and last In case I do 2 separate systems 1 for L1 and 1 for L2 , no share of batteries, 1 battery per MP2, is’it working without perturbation between them ?
You can do that, but would be less efficient
Also you would need more battery power if you want to run multiple mp2
Thank you Mark
I understand
I have 1 US3000 (37A output) and I will add an US5000 (100A output) so with 134A I have enough power to supply the 2 MP2
The last Proposal is just in case, I lose efficiency but it’s simple and working
Ok I will try with a GX and disconnect it i case I can’t make it work I still have the solution above
the small issue is that I’am not Used to work with VE-config And I don’t want to do some mistake
So for the Settings when I’am with the VE bus config
Should I load a configuration in each MP2 (for ESS, Ah of batterie…)
Or It’will be all in the GX
Best regards
I forgot
It’s better for me to use the current sensor of the MP2 (because I know the parameters of this), I don’t need the 3 phase compensation mode
You need to set them both up with ve bus configurator, loads settings (ess etc.) with ve config in both and lastly set settings in the gx
