3.50~15 - batteries not longer charged by Fronius PV Inverter

There may be a bug in the new firmware V3.50~15. Either a problem in the implementation of the Fronius WR or in the Carlo Gavazzi meters. Because with the new firmware, the batteries are no longer charged.

Various resets didn’t help.
Back on 3.50~13 → everything is fine

(Quattro II 5000, EM540, Primo 4.6-1 on AC-out, Symo 10.0-3 on AC-in)

I have a similar problem, even if I set the “Keep batteries charged”, it discharges after sunset, if I go back to version 3.50~14, everything is OK.

I also have a similar fault with a non fronius grid tie inverter on the grid side of my multiplus 2 GX 48/3000.

It appears the AC charger function has been disabled. Whether I set scheduled charge. VRM keep battery charged. Or set the SOC to 100% my battery is still only charging from the MPPT controllers.

Just to add previous functionality was that when my meter showed negative values on the grid the multiplus 2 was then charging the battery trying to keep grid at the 50w value set until the battery was fully charged.

There is no change to the inverter function.

Perhaps we can help to narrow down the error:
My ESS does not use a controlling BMS. Rather, the charging of the batteries is controlled by the Multi / Quattro in the classic way (Bulk, Absoption, Float).
How is it with your systems @dano and @PianoClubber ?

My system is also not BMS controlled. I also use the standard charging settings on the MPPT/MP2.

I have had to back out 350/15 to the production 340 build now as I have an urgent piece of work and that’s going to require the MP2 AC out.

Morning all. I have a similar issue but didnt realise for a few days as we were away. The grid has not been charging my batteries and has been only pulling in very modest amounts (<1kW). All settings within the cerbo remained the same after the firmware update. Changing the mode to keep batteries charged, adjusting the grid setpoint, altering the minimum SOC made no difference.

Setup is a 3 phase 10kva quattro, couple of victron MPPT’s, a Carlo Gavazzi meter in a grid tied system. The BMS does not control the system.

Rolling back the firmware to 3.50~13 and all issues gone.

Hey all, this is fixed in v3.50~20
