24/3000 seems to be showing more current than actual

I have today installed a 24/3000 Phoenix inverter to replace a 12/1200 inverter. The batteries (2x200A Lithium) were re-wired to suit the 24v inverter. My problem is the app is showing an ac load almost double what the device is actually drawing. (I have an inline meter between the inverter and the fridge). Thanks

Hi,

Your problem is reverse of my problem. I have 12/3000 which shows 0 load.

What firmware does your inverter have inside?

Also when looking at loads its wise to start with the Amps first. So Amps x v = power in watts, how many amps is the inverter drawing? And the DC amps reported by the smart shunt will be different than the ac amps.

Hi. The software is V1.37. It did an update when I first powered it up.

The ac load in watts has to be less than what’s being drawn through the shunt when there’s no solar due to inefficiencies. It’s showing about 300watts through the shunt and 498watts going out the inverter.

The difference is dc does not have a power factor and is shunt measured. And the ac is hall effect measured i will add that it is not terribly accurate under 4amps.

If you haven’t already add a balancer to your 2x12v batteries. And mid point monitoring on your shunt. Over time things can get a little off.
