In an off-grid system I would need a max poser of 10Kw and I doubt if it makes more sense to install only one MPII 10K or install two MPII 5K sorking in parallel.
Only one MP II will make system more simple and with less point of failure but with 2 I will have some sort of contingency in case of an inverter failure. Most probably I also missnsome pros and cons in every case but people with more experience can guide me.
One 10kva MP2 offers simplicity in installation and lower costs benefits. No redundancy and single point failure risk.
Two 5kva MP2 more complex installation, higher setting up costs. Advantage however is some redundancy and optionality if one fails, other could still be reconfigured to cover you.
So really depends on what is more important to you. If it’s simplicity, lower costs, than I’d go for 1) above. If redundancy or possibility of backup against single point failure, then 2) probably preferred.
Discounting short duration peak power (mainly intended for startup surges etc.), the 10kVA is rated 8kW and then you also have to take into account temperature and associated derating under heavy loads.
