1500 miles away, Can no longer connect to my system, help?

Cerbo has an RJ45 cable running to the router I linked above. I stated this previously.

The security system is on wifi, provided by that router, again, linked previously.

Dave,

No, I can’t login to my router. I linked it above, and redownloaded the manual but I guess I never turned on remote access to the router, because it said for security reasons you might not want to do that. Regretting it now.

Yup. Still here. Still have power. Still have the cerbo plugged directly into the router with an RJ45 cable as I stated on Jun 13th, so I’m not sure why people ask that questions so much when I’ve been so clear about it.

It’s literally Cerbo GX, RJ45 cable, 4g Router that I linked on June 13th. No other things. The router provides wifi for the security system, which is still online.

Hi Rob

That’s a pity can i ask how/where is the Cerbo power coming from?
Dave.

Last year I had Cerbo connectivity issues to my router, a Teltonika RUTX11 (from Mid 2020) with a cat5 cable between the 2 whilst I was at home. I new the router was on because I was getting status messsges, I could still access the heating controller and I knew the boat had good DC voltage because the router was on so the solar was keeping up. I could tell the router to reboot but that did not reconnect the Cerbo. The Cerbo had the reboot on loss of contact with VRM, normally that results in reconnection. When I got to the boat the Cerbo was registering some odd state with the erhernet connection and was not doing the reboot on loss of vrm and a manual reboot did not reconnect. The only way to reconnect was to pull the cat5 cable and reinsert it. The connection then stayed good for a few days but kept failing. I ended up getting a new router and it has been perfect since.

A long winded story of something similar to what you are experiencing that was most likely an intermittent fault in the LAN socket or board in the router.

Hi Rob,

Do you happen to have a managed battery? One where the BMS is connected with the Multiplus?

What is a multiplus?

Sorry. My bad. I’m so used to people having a Multiplus II but you have Phoenix inverter :grimacing:
