12V DC2DC 30 Amps - Non-Isolated not turning ON

Hello, New to the forum. Can’t find solution or possible cause and looking for input before I buy new one.

I bought 12 Volt/ 30 Amps DC to DC (non-isolated) charger used (like new) from Ebay. Seller confirm that he connected and updated the firmware on the unit.

My problem is… it is not turning on. No lights on the charger.

Current setup: Hot wire 4/6 guage coming from starter battery on 2023 Tacoma with 30 Amps in-line fuse. Voltage on the charger (screw) showing 12.48 coming from the starter battery when truck is off and 13.80-14.2 volt when truck is running. Green plug was inserted in its location but still no light.

Is there are way to diagnose the system with a multimeter to see if everything is good? Check if system is burned or anything that I might be doing wrong?

Initially, I had ground wires in the charger. Also, had an output wire in the charger but it was not connected to the aux battery. Now, just input wire and green plug in its location.

There has to be a negative wire installed, without it a DC circuit isn’t complete so the charger can’t power on. Reinstall negative wire and re-test.

Thanks. I will try that.

Did you take a look into the manual on how to install the device?

I did. It say connect input wire… I thought input is just hot wire. But now it make sense to have positive and negative to make it work.

The manual clearly shows what you have to connect:

Thank you guys. Justin was right. My mistake of missing the logic. I was able to connect to the Charger via bluetooth.

Video I watched from Victron (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDFHMaLbRxY&t=205s) had created some confusion as they have everything already connected. If you look at the video starting 2:20 to 2:45… he mentioned only input wire.
