Writing Quattro rsvc file with VictronConfig3 via VRM

Hi!

I’m trying to set up Battery type and capacity for my victron Quattro on VictronConfig3 via VRM. Is a real pain as Victronconfig3 does not save RSVC and when i force it by closing the app by cross, when uploading, i get MK2/MK3 comu ication error. Does anyone has a solution to this? I don’t have MK3-USB cable and i want to do it via VRM

If you are working over the vrm you have to use a laptop/desktop with ve config.

Hello LX! I am using VEConfig3 and is just messing my file when i edit it. This is what i tryied to say on my 1st post.

Download a new one from the system through vrm and edit that one.
Apologies my brain aluto corrected it to victron connect.

Is the program up to date?

LX,

The VEConfig is the latest as i just downloaded this yesterday. The file i’m trying to edit is freshly downloaded through VRM. If i download the file and i upload it straight away without editing, everything is fine. If i edit it with VEConfig, errors comes up. I tried to save it by closing VEConfig from the corner cross, but still errors. Is this that time when Victron really want me to buy the MK3-USB cable if i want to use the Quattro properly?

What error? Can you make a screenshot?

Hi! Here it is the error.

Thanks!

Is the inverter switch in the on position?

It usually only has that error for that reason. The other one is the mk3 driver on the gx is giving the error it needs to update

Were any firmware updates done?

LX,

I tried with both inverter switched on and charger only. Is exactly the same. No firmware updates done.

Regards,

Ok. What firmware is there on all the components, did it ever ask you for an mk3 update (on the gx)

The device should always be in the on position to program or update. Both in software and hardware switch

I had runned an update earlier on today on all my components DC-DC, MPPT, etc, but Quattro was not possible to update. Don’t know if any newer firmware may be available. I know all components are updated except the quattro.
