Wire size between MPPT 150 | 60 TR

Hi – I’m trying to size the wires between my Victron solar charge controller and the battery.
The manual says that the max it will send to the batteries is 60a. So do I just find a cable that handles 60a OR do I apply the safety factors of 1.25 * 1.25 * 60a = 94a?

You need a fuse rated around 25% higher than the maximum continuous current so 75 or 80A so you could size your cable to this. Voltage drop often sets the cable size rather than amp rating giving larger cables, my 150/60 has 100A rated cable with 80A fusing.
