Cable size smartsolar MPPT 100/20

If I look at the manual for the MPPT 100/20 it says that the cable size must be 6mm² / AWG10. For both PV and Battery the same.
It’s the same size as for all his other smaller brothers.

Isn’t it better to use a thicker cable for the battery connection?
The terminals on the 100/20 look suitable for cables bigger than 2,5mm diameter (6mm²).

Does anyone have the exact specs / diameter of the terminals on the 100/20?

The tech specs show 6mm² being the size.

Summary

To be honest 6mm² is more than sufficient for 20A continuous.
