Hi all
Still have a bottleneck grid / inverters issue.
During the nighttime slot, my grid draw (80A fuse - good for 19kW import) limits to just short of 9kW but shows 71/2A import. Why would that be?
It means that I can only charge the batteries OR the EV.
If it is CT related (which is on the main grid feed just before the my Henley block) it may be difficult to resolve. At the top of the Henley are ; grid feed, CU feed, ASHP feed. Below; EV feed and inverters feed (2x MP2 48v 5kVA 70A
Either your power factor is very bad, or the meter is not correctly calibrated.
Is this current being reported from the inverter or a power meter?
first step would be to double check the current reading with an AC clamp meter.
are you running on 230v or 120v? Your picture states 230v but 8354w with 71a would mean 120v… and you have both MP2 on the same 120v line… correct?
This means that your MP2 48v 5kva 70a are utilising the charger at 100% with 141a charge current. Each MP2 has a max. charge current of 70a! (141a*53.29v=7513w … math adds up too)
The (VEconfig General / Shore) ‘AC input current limit’ has to be set at 80A (my grid limit) for EACH of my two inverters, (NOT 40A each) for a combined total of 160A.
