Why is the Grid used?

I don’t get it… I have a 45kwh battery pack connected with 4 cable pairs. Why is not everything fetched from the battery? I have additionally a hoymiles 800 power plant on phase 2. Maybe someone can help here.

Thanks everyone and have a nice weekend.

Please provide more detail about your installation. What components do you have. How is it connected and configured?

I have 3 Multiplus 2 configured as a 3 phase system with a ESS. I use 10 pylontech us5000 as Energy storage. They are all connected through a Victron lynx.
What else you need to know?

Thank you for your time and expertise

Can you share screenshots of your DVCC configuration and ESS config from the GX?
Does this behaviour only happen with the EVCS?
Does it happen immediately or after it has been charging for a while?
If so please share those settings as well.

In VRM advanced widget, take a screenshot of the battery limits (CVL, DCL etc) chart that overlaps with this behaviour.

You are mainly pulling power on L2, which looks like it is passing through. So I would check that inverter.
Go pull its config, make sure nothing has been overlooked.
Definitely something is off.

It happens also with other devices connected. I have for example a small bitcoin miner here which uses 3phases and needs 6kwh.

Miner is not starting when grid is disconnected.
Going now into basement and fetching the config through ve configure

Some pictures from ve configure

Restarted the Multiplusses and now it’s working. I have the 800watt hoymiles disconnected on l2. Will observe the next days.

Thank you

Great. Something obviously had a little wobble and needed a technical tap.

There its is again. This sucks

L2 seems to hit passthrough so something is timing out or disconnecting.
I suspect your issue is related to the Hoymills, but that can’t be diagnosed remotely, certainly not without a detailed wiring diagram.

Remove any variables, make sure all 3 inverters are identical.
Reconfigure them as 3-phase with ve system configurator if needed, going step by step.

There is an installation or config issue lurking there somewhere.

You can download the ve system configurator config and attach it here, nothing confidential is in it.

the hoymiles was this time disconnected. I did a firmware update from 552 to 556, but somehow my assistent doesnt work anymore as expected.
I uploaded also the config file from remote configure

I also hear some click clack and sometimes is low battery blinking for short time. wtf this is new

Now it’s broken (: sitting here without energy. Gn8

Phase 2 was not connected properly. The electrician fixed it and now its working like a charm… So far… Thank you for your help

Progress, hope it holds.
Just remember that updates wipe configs and you have to follow the process to make sure all systems have it reloaded.

thanks for info
I was running the system 2days now and it all was fine. then i connected the ac out coupled PV with 800 watt micro inverter again and the multiplus went again into pass through after a while. anything I can do about it?

I think the issue is that it detects the -700wh, but it cant handle it with the load

L1+L2 = 700 Watt + 215Watt on AC Load
L3 = -700 Watt + 2000Watt Bitcoin Miner = ~1300Watt
