Top of the Pop (A little nod to the old gang
)
A commissioned installation, the most expensive to date in terms of the raw materials needed, depending on requirements.
Best Regards,
Patrick
Another Brick on the Wall … a sticker paradise Song …
Nooooo … Please do not touch …
… just look
+ an EV charger on the right side that looks a little shy
Looks impressive in terms of installing quite a bit of kit in a compact area.
Cabling and electrical work looks good for the visible part.
That said, my honest feedback is that the covers and general finishing work doesn’t do the installation justice.
Ducting isn’t level and/or cut straight / right length. Way too many stickers, inconsistent size where there’s no need for it and not neatly attached. Same for the sticker inside the left distribution box.
Finally, the cable to the EV charger looks messy. Either integrate in a duct or at least put the PVC pipe straight..
If this is a professional installation, I would advise redoing the finishing touches.
@Matsuda ,
You’re right on many points.
This customer called me to get his installation working properly, and that’s what bothered me. Such a well-executed project, which inspired my own, only to not achieve the expected technical results…
I went through all the parameters again:
The bulk and float voltages were incorrect, the M+ and MPPT weren’t synchronized, the ESS was misconfigured, and so on.
And the price… I won’t even go there…
Since my intervention, the client is delighted.
Unfortunately, a “beautiful” installation doesn’t guarantee performance.
Best regards,
Patrick.
Hi Patrick,
thanks for the feedback. I didn’t understand from your initial post that it wasn’t your own installation; indeed then I can’t fault you for it.
Agree a beautiful installation doesn’t guarrantee performance; but in my view, an installer that doesn’t finish an installation neatly does not give the impression that he took care in the technical and set-up part either ![]()
Hi @Matsuda ,
If you’ve noticed, when I post my work/installations, I say “this is my work” and describe the system.
It was intentional not to mention that it was work done by another company so as not to bias your opinion.
My best regards,
Patrick.
Hi @patrick this is excellent work - except the wine bottles should not be near warm power systems. I think you need to go back to that customer and drink his wine ![]()

Excellent !
This is just 1 phase… how complex can you make it!
I hope you have made drawings of all the wiring.
Looking neat.
Few too many triangular warning stickers for my liking.
Doesn’t the multiplus II want 10cm of free space around it in all 4 directions?
You also forgot to put the cover back on the multiplus
It might require a few less stickers if you don’t leave the connections open to the touch. (or does it also have a plexiglass cover in front? Can’t see any reflections)
btw, I’ve also seen people mount the Cerbo GX inside of the white cable gutters ![]()
