In following the advice and instructions from several related videos, we have not been able to execute programming of the Victron MultiPlus-II 48V/3000W/35-50 inverter. We seem to be connecting and executing properly until we attempt to access “VE Configuration Tools.” We receive a message similar to the following (though perhaps not verbatim): “…Application not available to open…” We seem to have the Victron Energy app installed. What other app is needed? What do we need to do to advance past this point? Frustrated. P.S. FYI, we are operating on a high hill in west Texas where we are attempting to light a large cross (60’x24’) where there are no conventional utilities, only cold high winds!
Try run/open first the VeConfigure tool.
Then select file “Fake .. from file“
- Change config
- And at the end “exit“ and save (not save settings)
Try using victron connect.
Update the firmware on the inverter first. The try do basic programming in Victirn Connect.
Close victron connect and try ve config again if you need ESS or any of the fancier programming.
