Strange behavior off my EVCS charger (NS) ; he states ‘waiting for start’ but this should be ‘disconnected’ as there is no car connected right now. Has always worked correct I just see this by accident but could have happend before. Normally he states ‘Disconnected’ when no car is connected and should do that also.
Checked the history but no similar situations seen ; as soon the car was back home & connected charging started back. I think something buggy : manual mode & unplugged during charging on the other hand this happens often en never seen it before. Side effect → as he states ‘waiting for start’ → chargings starts → then status ‘charged’ comes (because no power consumption & the charger thinks the car is full) → this last one I see in other topics also.
Further investigation tells me it’s CP fault. Reason? Heat - Extreem rain last weekend. Switched power off ; updated the firmware ; disconnected the cable ; contacts are clean ; earth in installation is ok ; … What else can be the reason for this CP fault?
@Lpopescu -8.1V between PE & CP on the socket off the charger - looks like internal fault inside the electronics.
Update : opened the charger ; no visual damage to print board ; disconnected en reconnected the CP connector ; repowered ; now +11.76 on CP pin to Earth but still ‘waiting for start’
@Lpopescu : no car present ; voltage is measure with digital voltmeter on the charger socket; VRM shows constant charged but in Node Red I see status waiting for charging followed by charged when I send start. I think this is a hardware issue but before sending RMA want to be sure this can’t be solved with CP calibration but don’t know how to force the charger to do this.
