VRM release notes 20-08-2025

Dear all,

We have added a new feature to VRM today:

On the teams page, you can now find an invitation link for the team. You can share this link with anyone you would want to join your team.

For security reasons, you would still need to approve their request for access after they use the link.

We hope this makes the teams functionality easier to use!

After last update, in dess spot graph (in dark mode), there is invisible zero price line.

Hi, would you have a screenshot and an installation ID for me?

Hi, sure.

Hey! Which phone and browser do you use?

Sorry for the back and forth in questions, but I cannot seem to reproduce it.

Hi, it’s Samsung S21 5G and Firefox browser. But screenshot is from APK. But true is, that on Firefox desktop (again dark mode) is the same problem.

@zdenek maybe the ‘dark line’ is not a data line but the X-axis ZERO line element? I guess that graph would/should only show two datapoint lines with the colour as per legend.

did you try ‘non dark mode’ view to see what shows up? Maybe that -screenshot- can help team VE understand and explain or adapt.

I don’t have DESS on because predictions are still way off (because of forecasts doubling the expected EVCS consumption) so can not test myself atm.

Hi,
You can see that in dark mode there is no zero line. And few version before, there was.

I think there is one, but with the same colour as the graph background. It only shows up if you select a timeframe and that changes to lighter gray, except for the zero line, in the first screenshot:

@Barbara can you ask the appropriate team member to have a look at the colour choice/code for dark mode?

@Barbara

The “Now” or “now” emblem always hovers in the middle of the VRM forecast view. Is there any way to arrange it differently?

Since last update if I’m on my Android s21 ultra, in landscape mode if I maximize a graph under Advanced, and then touch a point on the line chart the area below turns into a gray box:

If not maximized the problem doesn’t show:

Dear @Barbara ,

Could you please look into an option to disable the ‘location change, 3 hour solar forecast delay’ warning on the VRM dashboard for systems that are mobile (boats) and/or not having any PV systems installed anyway?

Hi Jan,

Could you link me the vrm id (from the url)?

It shouldn’t show that warning if you do not have solar or if your solar forecast is disabled in the graphs.

I’ll send you a screenshot and id next time it happens, which is about dayly.

Hi @Brucey ,

This is fixed now! Thank you for flagging this

Hi @Sarowe1990 , good point, I can see that it makes it difficult to see the battery SOC values behind it in this way.

I’ll check in with the team to move it up, as we do for desktop!

Here is the screenshot. Can you please DM me for me to reply with the VRM Id.

PS, this is a boat installation for which I have developed a GPS filter.
I have a hunch that our filter implementation may have something to do with this albeit indirectly. The filter reads NMEA GPS data from a USB GPS mouse and feeds back sanitized values (speed foremost) to a virtual GPS.
The reading of the GPS data stream sometimes corrupts or halts for unknown reasons, requiring a restart of the serial port while preventing the USB GPS mouse to be discovered automatically. (As that would make the hardware GPS take precedence over the virtual GPS but that is different topic all together)

The name is unique enough for me  I found it.

I will make sure the bug is solved!

Anyway, boat never leaves Amsterdam city center and has no solar so the warning seems erratic no matter what.
