VRM High tank level alarm Broken

I set up a current sensor in the boat bilge and got it connected to GX Tank 140 via CerboGX and setup a local alarm. It works great, tried filling the bilge and it goes off and pumping it out and the alarm turns off. So I know the sensor is working correctly.

In the VRM portal I see the sensor and the value is mostly correct (sometimes it’s off by 1% or 2% which is weird but doesn’t matter).

When I set a high “tank level” alarm in VRM it never triggers. I’ve configured it to alarm High at 10% and turn off the alarm at 5%. I have it configured to wait “60 seconds” since that was the minimum.

I’ve tried making the sensor read 0 and 15% back and forth, waiting 5 minutes each time. The alarm goes off and on in the boat just fine. I’ve tried lowering the High alarm down to 3%.

VRM never alarms.

The only alarm I got was when I tried setting a Low tank level alarm just to see. That worked once but High has never worked.

It appears this feature is just broken? Can you look into my VRM portal and fix this issue?

Having an alarm was the whole point in getting this

Is this the correct forum to post VRM bugs? – Thanks

I’ll check it out.

I simulated your installation and the system does seem to work properly.

Note that with a post interval of 5 minutes (like your installation), you may need to wait 10 minutes before all conditions are met. If the alarm condition is added exactly between data logging intervals, after 5 minutes there will still only be one data point. The alarm is then primed to go off on receiving of the next high value, but it won’t automatically trigger after those 60 seconds without receiving a new data point from the installation. Otherwise it would go into alert when the values stop coming in.

Can you confirm that by waiting longer, the alarm does trigger?
