VRM device not visible in Victron Connect

Hi. I have 6 Cerbos visible in my VRM account, but Victron Connect (via VRM) shows only 5 of them.
The same thing happens on both PC and mobile access. All installations are almost identical and are working normally. Only the one with ID (moderated for security ) does not show on Victron Connect. Does anybody have a clue what may be the cause?

BTW comparing this new and the old forum, this new is unclear and messy as hell… or am I wrong? I should select a label, but there is no label “cerbo”?? WTF

You seem to have selected the correct tag cerbo-gx, searching for any product name should sort the list. Many posts tagging cerbo devices currently.
I removed the serial number as publishing that exposes you to risk, rather use the digits in the vrm url between dashboard and installation.

If your vrm account is common across all the cerbo installations they should appear in the “vrm” view of the VC app. Local obviously won’t show the others.

Hmm. I selected tag “ccgx_color_control”, as this was closest, but I really did NOT select current “cerbo-gx”. There is something wrong in the labeling system, it selected this label itself. I do not consider ID itself as so high security threat (at least in my case), nevermind, VRM’s idSite of the “invisible” Cerbo is 262540.

What firmware versions are your ccgx running? Same for the inverter.

Invisible Cerbo 3.41 (update to 3.54 is possible, but not now - client uses the device). Inverter is Multiplus 502, MK3, 1170216. But other visible Cerbos are even older (3.31) and are OK…??

I would get at least the venus OS updated, old inverters will need a mk3 update as well.
Older versions will have issues on new apps.

Thank you for your time, however, this is a generic answer. As a software developer I prefer to pursue and fix the issue, as usually this leads to discovering other errors left in the system. Have a good night.

Hi

Can you perhaps force close VictronConnect, then open it and when the devices are visible in the VRM tab create a service report and post that here (as .log.txt or inside a .zip)? We can then check whether we see something that might be wrong or that we can improve.

Kind regards,

Hi, I opened VictronConnect on PC concurrently with VRM, so you can see 6 units in VRM and only 5 in VictronConnect in one screenshot:

Log from that moment:
ServiceReport-MissingInstalation.zip (18.2 kB)

Hi Karel,

What I see in the logging is that the type of GX of Rainer XRV is unknown. Also its type and firmware version is unknown on VRM. Can you try to reboot it and check on VRM in the Device List whether the gateway type does not show Gateway but an actual product and whether the firmware version is known?

Good point, thanks! Remote console said firmware 3.41. I updated to 3.54 and rebooted from GX menu via console, but there was still just “Gateway” shown in products. I rebooted then again using the “Reboot GX device” button next to Gateway, and this fixed the problem. Weird, dunno why, but it is working now. Thanks.
