On remote console GUI, your inverter section → Alarm setup → Voltage sense error → Disabled
So not in VE config, thanks for letting me know this, i would have been searching everywhere in ve config , glad i asked. Thats the only downside to victron that there’s two places where settings are made.
Its accessible in both, i don’t have a cerbo, so i only go through ve config. And i believe its more straightforward then through cerbo.
Could you please show me where I can disable Alarms in VE.Config?
Sorry, didn’t managed to find it…
I am using VE Configure 3, ver. 90.04.240
LE.
Found it on the Charger tab.
Also, this worth a read: Multiplus II Voltage Sense Error - VictronEnergy
Thanks for that, there was indeen another option further down.
I went into tje alarm page and it says voltage sense error, but i also noticed it saying ve bus error
But theres no where on that page to alter any settings.
Am i in serious trouble with a be bus error as well?
Its a voltage sense error on a ve device.
What ve device would cause that as it indicates 8/11
I have a lynx shunt, cerbo, batteries and 2 mppts, are all these classed as ve devices?
I tried disabling voltage senseing in the gui but it made no difference, so i ended up using VE config, and did a firmware update at the same time.
The inverter is now running the latest firmware.
It did however state “disable for diagnostic purposes” so i checked the box and rebooted the inverter, now the yellow lights have stopped flashing.
But im still concerned that there is a fault somewhere only now its being ignored.
Whats the next point of action i can try to isolate the ve device problem?
No only the multi is a ve device.
Your blinking lights are/were only a warning, the multi still operates fully.
I’d contact the seller and ask how to proceed
Oh so this could potentially be a fault within the MultiPlus-II? Thats concerning, as it would more than likely need returning for repairs, which would be extremely inconvenient being im running my entire property off grid with it.
Ill contact the seller tomorrow and see what they say.
Maybe he has a unit that you could borrow ?
Yeah, or maybe ill buy another unit, and then run them in parallel as i do hit overload occasionally
Guys… What are you talking here?
If the error indicated the “VE.Bus error” field is 8 and/or 11, then the option “VE.Bus error 8/11 report” is to describe the error.
See pictures below.
@mfred868
Do you have in the “VE.Bus error” field the value 8 or 11? If not, then you are OK.
Only if you see in the “VE.Bus error” field the value 8 or 11, then you go on the bottom of the page and use the REPORT option to see an error description.
Getting the multi repaired…nothing else.
Sense lines are not connected, mp says voltage difference, wich is technically impossible…so the mp has to be checked/repaired.
I have the feeling that the OP thinks of something else.
I believe he thinks he has an 8/11 error.
See his previous posts mentioned below.
So what does the error 8/11 indicate as the fault?
Something to do with ground relay test ?
But only if connected to grid, maybe these errors are from some trials during setup ?
But probably have nothing to do with vsense.
Vsense is a dc problem, ground relay is ac input side.
Since disabling the v sense on the generator tab of rhe MultiPlus-II the error is gone, but it states to disable for maintenance purposes, so im not happy with this.
Ive contacted the seller, and waiting to hear back.
