MPPT Overcharging Pylontech

Hello

I have problem with my Victron from few days.
System work for few years
3x MPII 5000VA
4x Pylontech 2000C
2x TurboEnergy 2,4kWh
Victron MPPT450
Fronius Symo 8,2kW

And then system going off because of
Internal Failure in Pylontech.
Hight Voltage Cell also shows… so i trying to keep them charged to let them ballance.
But i think problem is other because when sun is shine DC Voltage goes to 57V!

On both BMS is ok 52,9V or so. But on MPII and MPPT Akumulator in VRM shows 57V. So i used Victron Connect and set as User profil and absorbing voltage to 52.60.

I had set DVCC from very begginging now changed that to even 51.6V and charing also is set at 40A

And still when 450/100 is ON its overvoltage battery and system shutdown. Voltage on batery goes 57V but it not that high on BMS On BMS is 52,6V or so.
Its even blink 57V - 52V but still system shut down.

Any Advices?
Tried to change external control but i cant, after update to EasySolar now its shown as External and BMS kontrol. but nothing changed.
Sorry for bad english and thanks to your help

So you have an AC PV inverter connected to the output of your Multiplus and running off grid? Then you need to set up your Multiplus with VEconfigure correctly.

Otherwise you need to setup your mppt correctly, 57V is normal for 16s LiFePO4 or lead acid.

Yes, from very beggining is that connected and worked very well. If I turn OFF MPPT Solar then is no errors and no shut downs with battery.

What do you mean with corectly setup by VEconfigure?

Cant do anything more by Victron Connect or VRM. should I use something else?

Hi, in my case the ac PV inverters caused problems, because I tried to set my Multiplus up with VEconnect, but VEconnect does not show all parameters of your Multiplus. But in your case this isn’t the problem because it worked perfectly without the DC MPPT.

So the problem is really the MPPT. I think there’s some setting you may have overlooked. I don’t have a Victron MPPT unfortunately.

yes, and everything is verid. Because it worked till yesterday. And… nothing changed and system from yesterday wont work as before.

After Victron Connect and set 52,6V Voltage absorbtion MPPT go pause because 29 error overvoltage protect and… high cell voltage.

And still nothing changed… just system wont off this time. But MPPT cant work at all.
What would happend?

Another obserwation.

System stoped sending DC to grid. As it did that always before. When Battery get 100% and giving overvoltage error #29. MPPT going sleep.
No idea what changed… because I have option that excess power to grid

Start with programming correctly.

The link is here

And the fronius needs to be programmed.

ok, i did that… or i hope i did everything correct.
at least conected with MPII by Ve config and set ESS and Pylontech Voltages as they want.

but still system still is charged and stay keep charged.
It should be work typical? discharging at evening?

only one think left there that i would change.
Im from Poland and i could set region to Poland because now is VDE region. But no idea what password is at VE Config

Usually this is given to you by your Victron dealer. But on first set up is not needed.

This is set in the ESS menu on the GX. There is also a section in the ESS manual for that.

This is likely an internal communication problem in the Pylontecs. Sometimes changing what battery is the mater can solve it. The battery with the newest firmware should be the master.

I do not know of you can mix the turbo energy and the us2000c, you need to check with their manual or pylontec themselves. See if their intercommunication is ok. How are they connected to the system (besides with battery cables? Do you have their can cable and the pylontec connected to the system?)

I have mixed pylontech us2000c with TurboEnergy for 2 years or 3. It works, but both are connected separatly to Cerbo GX by own cables. Cerbo GX have 2 communications protocols. And really works fine.

Internal Failure should be solved by now, i changed Voltages absorbtion to 52v in MPPT and MPII . I hope will help.

And with discharging… its set as self consumptioon in ESS but still are keept charged.

Which one is the controling BMS?

So what has changed recently?

Tried both pylontech or turbo. And now is auto.

And what changed?
The problem is… nothing really nothing and just system went crazy. Without reason. Ot an known reason…

Still same problems… mppt wont charge when battwry are full.

And system still goes off.

What I did wrong?

This is normal. Your AC loads are being covered by the fronius and the battery cannot take more energy

Do you want to feed power from the DC mppts to grid now?

exactly as You said, energy from MPPTs going to all energy recivers and then to the grid. But not more than limits.
That was till few days. Now MPPT can only charge battery, and nothing more.

Is feed in from DC enabled in the ESS menu?

yes, but no effects :frowning:

Is all the firmware up to date?

yes, of course, MPII version 552, RS450 1.19v
Cerbo GX tried even beta version 3.60

Ok so there have been recent changes the firmware updates.

Does a reboot of the cerbo help? Sometimes it does.

If not you may need to reset the cerbo and firware update again. It is possible with updates and roll backs something has gone wrong.
