VM-3P75CT in 1 phase system as grid and load meter

Hi,

I have a 1phase system, I was wondering if I can use VM-3P75CT as a grid meter and load meter at the same time?

Having this meter solely measuring single phase looks like waste of money, on the other hand et112 is quite slow…

Is there any way of using this meter for 2 purposes?

Thanks,
Piotr

This?

A meter is seen as one device, so it can only have one role.

@podarok yes something like that.

@nickdb and what about following:
The meter is configured as generic load meter, L1 is measuring grid input/output, L2 and L3 measuring loads. If we would be able to create a virtual meter in Victron with a source of L1 this would do the trick. The readings will be accurate and I would be able to use same meter for 2 purposes. In theory it should be doable on the Venus OS (just move values from one register into another).
Drawback, L1 would be still visible as Load (so probably would have to zero the reading).

Nodered has just introduced the concept, in beta, of virtual devices. So you can create a virtual grid meter and virtual PV meter, and feed from the individual phases of the actual meter.
Not officially supported, but it might work for you.

You still need to assign the device a default role, which is likely to confuse things.

How can I try it? Current 3.54~1 beta contains it? Or is there another way?

It’s part of 3.60 which is on pause while 3.54 is tested.
