The issue I am having at the moment is, that when I inject a value into the virtual switch "basic slider” (in my Screenshot showing and controlling the Charge Current) it is immediately updated on the GUI.
However if I do the same with the virtual switch “numeric input“ (in my Screenshot showing and controlling the Charge Voltage in deciVolts, because Virtual Switches allow only for integer numbers ) the Value shown in the center of the switch is not updated immediately. I have to close the screen, open an other screen and jump back to the VirtualSwitch-Screen, only then the value is updated.
Screenrecording here:
Is this a known issue?
Is it planned in future to have the ability to use decimal-Values like 54.6V as setpoint?
Or is it my bad and this should be implemented completely different? (altough I like the Virtual Devices very much! Great Job and Kudos to Victron! )
It’s early days for this functionality. It will improve and enhance. Many of us have made feature requests so I have no doubt you will see changes as it becomes more clear how people are using it and what they need.
Hats off to victron for this type of innovation, it is really powerful for those that like to do integrations.
You are right! The idea of this post is more for the developpers to have some feedback, if they go for the next revsion and want to fix some “bugs” or add some features found or asekd for by beta-Firmware users.
Problably it’s not even a NodeRed related issue, but it might also be VenusOS related, how the GUI handels changes in Values to display.
I posted under the NodeRed category, but an Administrator can feel free to move it to an other category.
I would like to see the 3 components in the screenshot being part of the one entity, such that the current and voltage can be directly asssociated with the switchm rather than having to make them as 3 different components. For example, the switch is shown to the left, then to the right of that, on the same line, the current, then further to the right the voltage.
