Victron VRM Data History Issue

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can clarify whether this is expected behaviour or whether there may be an issue with our VRM site.

We have a Victron system with a Cerbo GX and require access to historical power consumption data from the date of commissioning for performance and financial analysis. However, when viewing the consumption data in VRM, only approximately the last 6 months of data appears to be available.

I would appreciate assistance with the following:

  1. Has Victron recently changed the VRM data retention policy for consumption data?
  2. Should historical consumption data older than 6 months still be available on VRM?
  3. Are there any settings that could limit the visibility of older consumption data?
  4. Could a firmware update, GX device re-registration, site migration, or other system event result in older data no longer being displayed?
  5. Is there a way to recover or export historical consumption data if it still exists on the VRM backend?

  • Energy Meter: [Insert meter model if known, e.g. ET112 / ET340 / EM24]

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, as we need the full historical dataset for long-term energy analysis.
