Victron Multiplus II 48/15000 AC coupled with Outback

Hi All,

we currently have an instalation of:
1xMultiplus II 48/15000/200-100
2x MPPT 150 / 60 - DC Coupled (12x455W panels)
1x Fonius Primo 8.2-1 -AC coupled (18x455w panels)
8 x Pylontech US5000
1x 50kVA Diesel Generator

The Client also has a separate old PV System

  • 1x Outback M-Series Inverter/Charger
  • 2 x FLEXmax 60/80 Solar Chargers
  • 20kwh of lithium batteries for future use. (
  • 12x560w panels - south oriented

the idea is somehow to use the second PV system to increase the PV Yield for the house. Currently running the generator a lot as the house system cant cope with Heatpump consumption due to low winter solar yields.

Scenario1: Can we design a way to have the Outback AC coupled with the Fronius and Victron?
Scenario 2 : Use the two Outback Solar Chargers to push DC to the pylontech batteries? We could manually program them based on battery voltages. (Distance between outback and victron is around 15 meters.
Scenario 3. Divide house loads in two. Some on the Victron System / Some on Outback system.

Also one thing we noticed is that the Fronius is producing always less than the Victron Solar chargers even if the battery soc is low.
We have 5.4 Kwp on Victron MPPT combined and 8.19 Kwp on the Fronius. we always see a 20% less DC power altough is 40% bigger in pv power than the smart solar chargers.

we use EAST/ WEST configuration
MPPT 1 - 2 x 3 Panels EAST - 150/60 Tr
MPPT 2 - 2x 3 Panels WEST - 150.60 Tr
MPPT3 - 1x9 Panels East - Fronius
MPPT 4 - 1x 9 Panels West - Fronius

Any suggestions are more than welcome.
