- How its expected to work: The installation of v3.51 would reboot and then proceed to operate.
- How it doesn’t work as expected: System specifies that the package manager will cause a system reboot and then reboots the system every ~30 seconds. The loop does not break, so, can’t interact and regress the system to previous version.
- Details on the system: Venus OS v3.51 loaded on Raspberry Pi Raspberry Pi 4 4GB on 32GB micro SD Card
- What you’ve already tried to make sure its not a setting or other issue: Can’t break the reboot loop to interact with the system. After system updated to v3.50 went into headless mode and was finally there to take the headless off but discovered that 3.51 had been updated and found it in that endless loop.
Note that this appears to not be an issue with Venus OS (stock firmware) but rather in SetupHelper. To avoid unnecessary work by Victron chasing down issues such as this please post issues such as this to the issues section of the affected package.
I am not seeing this issue here and would need log files to investigate further.
SetupHelper includes some tools to help recover from such issues such as a blind uninstall. The ReadMe included with the package explains the mechanisms.
